This crop is assessed to have stable quality thanks to favorable weather conditions during flowering and fruit development, and the raw material area has also completed VietGAP certification procedures as required by import customers.
Raw material zones and certifications
The main growing area is concentrated in Tien Giang — the region regarded as the key production zone for the Cat Hoa Loc mango variety. The households and cooperatives supplying TFIMEX in this crop have maintained cultivation practices in accordance with VietGAP standards, including integrated pest management, control of pesticide residues, and record-keeping of production logs. Certification documents were updated prior to the start of the crop to meet the traceability requirements of the Korean partner.
In addition to VietGAP, TFIMEX maintains the ability to supply from GlobalG.A.P.-certified growing regions when customers have additional requirements. This is a necessary advantage in the context of Korean and Japanese importers increasingly tightening standards for residue testing and batch traceability.
Classification by Brix and packaging specifications
The early 2026 season is graded by Brix in the range of 14–16, a level suitable for the Korean market's requirements regarding the sweetness and distinctive flavor of Cat Hoa Loc mango. Brix measurement is performed on representative samples before packaging to ensure uniformity across shipments.
The standard packaging specification for Korean orders is a 5 kg carton, adjustable according to specific agreements with each customer. Fruit is size-graded, with bruised or cosmetically substandard fruit removed, then processed and pre-cooled before entering the cold storage. Packaging and labels are printed according to the buyer's requirements, including growing-region traceability information and lot codes.
Cold container export schedule to South Korea
TFIMEX plans to ship reefer containers to South Korea in weeks 2–3 of the month, after completing harvest and packing of the first seasonal lot. Goods are maintained in the cold chain from primary processing in Tien Giang through container loading, with temperature and humidity controlled according to technical specifications agreed with the customer.
For the South Korea route, sea freight transit time typically ranges from 7–10 days depending on the destination port. TFIMEX recommends that customers confirm packaging specifications, volume, and delivery schedule early to ensure alignment with the container plan and avoid incurring storage costs.
